INVITATION TO BID
The City of Luling, Texas is accepting bids for the following project:
Removal of Old and Installation of New Fire Hydrant
Across various locations, Luling, Texas
The City of Luling, Texas invites sealed bids from qualified contractors for the removal and installation of forty-four (44) new industrial-grade fire hydrants across various locations within the municipality of Luling, Texas. The City of Luling will be supplying the new hydrants and other select extension pieces. The project should have a final completion within sixty (60) calendar days.
The sealed bids must be clearly marked Removal of Old and Installation of New Fire Hydrant on the envelope, as identified by the bidder, and delivered to Martha C. Velasquez, City Secretary, at 509 E. Crockett St., Luling, TX. 78648 no later than 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 20, 2023.
Mailed Bids should be sent to the City of Luling, City Secretary, 509 E. Crockett St., Luling, TX 78648, and received no later than the date and time specified above. The proposal will be publicly opened and read aloud at this time and place. Bids received after this time will be returned unopened.
This project shall meet or exceed specifications of the City of Luling. Copies of the contract specifications may be obtained from the Office of the City Secretary, 509 E. Contractor will carry General/Vehicle Liability insurance with minimum limits of $500,000 per occurrence, listing City of Luling as additional insured. Proof of Worker’s Compensation Insurance and a 100% Performance and Payment Bond required.
A non-mandatory, but bidder attendance preferred, pre-bid conferences for the Project will be held at City Hall, 509 E. Crockett St. Luling, Texas 78648 at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 20, 2023.
The City of Luling reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities in the bidding.
