Oil and Gas Well Inspections 

The City of Luling Code of Ordinances outlines Natural Resources
CHAPTER 70. - NATURAL RESOURCES, ARTICLE II. - OIL AND GAS WELLS
An inspection fee of one hundred dollars ($100.00) is imposed against the owner and producer of each well.  Such inspection fee shall be the liability of the producer of oil and gas and shall be due and payable to the City on or before August 31st of each year.  If such fee is not paid on or before such date, it shall become delinquent and a penalty of five percent (5%) of the amount of such fee shall be added.

CHAPTER 6. - ADVERTISING, ARTICLE II. - SIGNS, GENERAL
The annual off-premises permit fee of one hundred dollars ($100.00) per sign face, per year is due no later than January 31st of each year.  Each person engaging in the off-premises sign shall file with the Code Enforcement Officer a certified list of all authorized off-premises sign structures owned by him/her as of January 1st of each year.  This list shall be filed on or before January 1st of each year and describe the location, type, dimensions, facing direction and permit number of each off-premises sign structure.  In describing the location of an off-premises sign, the owner shall give the street address of the sign location and the facing direction.

Chapter 6, Article III, Section 6-52 in the City of Luling Code of Ordinances has changed the maximum number of signs from 67 to 55, and the distance between signs was increased to 2,000 feet apart from 1,750 feet apart.  This change was approved by the City of Luling, City Council dated November 14, 2013.
