City Government

Luling was established in 1874 with the westward progression of the railroad. Throughout the last century Luling has been a significant center of all that is Texas: railroad, cattle, cotton, and oil. Throughout its existance, a strong city government, headed by dedicated individuals, has been responsible for its growth. Today, the City is governed by the Mayor and the City Council with the assistance of various departments whose mission is to provide direction for the future success of Luling.
